Welcome To Roosevelt!
We understand that this isn’t an easy process. We strongly encourage you to read through the information here and then scroll down to see instructions for your grade. There you will find Registration Guidelines and a Course Option Worksheet, both with details on completing course selection.
Please make sure you are looking at the correct grade band for resources.
If you have questions, here are some ways to get help:
- First, please review the materials provided (Course Description Book, Course Option Worksheet, and Course Guidelines.)
- Join one of our Virtual Help Sessions:

New Student Welcome Night – June 3 at 6:30 p.m.
We will host an evening event for new students and their families. This will include a presentation from our school’s Administration as well as an Activities Fair. This is a popular event so we suggest carpooling and/or using public transit due to parking limitations.

How to submit your requests
- Current 8th graders at a SPS Middle School should submit their course requests online via the student’s source account, online registration is open from 3/2/26 thru 3/18/26. After 3/18, all students will need to submit requests via the Course Option Worksheet as noted in step 2.
- Students coming from Private School, other SPS High Schools, or from outside of the district will need to fill out the Course Option Worksheet and email, mail, or drop it off at Roosevelt.
- If you need a paper copy of the Course Option Worksheet, email our registrar Dana Miller dtmiller@seattleschools.org thru June 26, 2026. After that, please contact Roosevelt’s main office at 206-252-4810.

SPS Introduction to High School Course Registration
The SPS Introduction to High School Course Registration introduces the registration process, overview of graduation requirements, recommended course sequence and class descriptions.
The documents are designed to assist you in making informed, education decisions in preparation for your future and to complement the information below. Registration Instructions by Grade Level
These instructions are for current 8th graders and new (transferring) high school students.
Not Attending in 2026-27?
If your plans have changed and you will not be attending Roosevelt High School or any other SPS school, you must notify the Admissions office with Seattle Public Schools. Please go to the Seattle Public Schools website and type “Not Attending Next Year” in the search field. This webpage will be active starting March 1, 2026.
