Graduation Items:

Order your Graduation Items

  • At a minimum, students will need a “Roosevelt HS. Cap and Gown unit” which includes a Cap, Gown, Tassel, and Class Stole. 
  • Free & Reduced Lunch:  Fill out this form: https://forms.office.com/r/5FEAweRDzu. Once you fill out the form, you are on the list! You will pick up your loaner cap and gown on the graduation rehearsal day on June 11th – stay tuned for an email with more details as we get closer to that day. In addition, you will also receive a free keepsake 2024 stole and tassel that will be delivered to you during the school day, prior to graduation, if you sign up prior to May 31st.

Senior Grad Ads

A Senior Grad Ad is an opportunity for senior families to choose photos and a personal message for  their graduating senior to be printed in the Roosevelt High School Yearbook.

  1. Design and order a senior grad ad now.

2. Select the size of your ad (1/8 page, 1/4 page, 1/2 page, full page)

  • If you order between NOW and Dec. 18,
    •  1/8 page is $45, 1/4 page is $90, 1/2 page is $180, full page is $360
  • If you order between Dec. 19 and Feb. 12,
    • 1/8 page is $50, 1/4 page is $100, 1/2 page is $200, full page is $400
  • If you order between Feb. 13 and March 25,
    • 1/8 page is $55, 1/4 page is $110, 1/2 page is $220, full page is $440

3. Enter Senior Name

  • Select your senior from the drop down list.

4. Set up account with email.

5. Select template and have fun!

  • Follow prompts (review your ad, view proof, finish later, add to cart, etc.) to complete your Grad Ad
  • Do Not Use Back Arrows.
  • Follow the prompts for payment of Grad Ad.

Pay Fines on the Source

Parents of 12th graders: Please help us by having your student look at their Source account and on the left toolbar is the link to fines, or nudge them to take a look at their school email.

Prom: May 18th at the Columbia Tower from 8pm – 11pm

  • Tickets for Prom are on sale! Tickets can be purchased in-person during lunch or via SchoolPay.
    • Online SchoolPay sales end at 11:59 pm on May 16th
    • In-person sales will continue through lunch on the 17th
      • May 1st: $55
      • May 2nd – 10th: $65
      • May 16th & 17th: $75
  • Spree Scholarships: Email MC Schmitt at rhs2024seattle@gmail.com to request a scholarship.
    The attire is formal. 
  • Students must bring a photo ID, their ticket, and/or a screenshot of their SchoolPay confirmation to get into the Prom – check-in closes at 9:30. 
  • Students can park at the Columbia Tower parking garage. Tickets are $10 (credit/debit only) – the kiosk to pay is in the main lobby next to the security desk.
    • Street parking is also available but not guaranteed.
    • Using public transportation of getting dropped off is a great option!
  • Students attending the Prom under the influence of drugs or alcohol will not be eligible to walk at graduation. 
  • Heavy appetizers and dessert will be served! 

Senior Finals: Thursday, June 6th and Friday, June 7th

Senior Check-out: Monday June 10th

Graduation Rehearsal: Tuesday, June 11th from 10am-11am

This is mandatory! Rehearsal is held in the main gym the day prior to graduation. It is important that your student attends this rehearsal. More information will be available closer to the date. 

Senior Luncheon: Tuesday, June 11th

Time: Immediately after the graduation rehearsal

Place: The HUB at the University of Washington (4001 E Stevens Way NE, Seattle, WA 98195) – The HUB on Google Maps

Activities: Lunch, Bowling, Video Games, Bonding, Yearbooks!

Yearbooks: Yearbooks for seniors will be distributed at The HUB. If you want your yearbook asap, come, and enjoy the fun!

Required Field Trip Forms: To attend, you must fill out a field trip form. Hard copy forms are available in the main office or download and print a copy at home with this link:  Senior Luncheon HUB Permission Slib.pdf. Once completed, drop the form off in the main office.

Getting there: Take light rail to Husky Stadium and walk 5 minutes to the HUB. If driving, guests should park in the paid parking at Padelford Parking Garage, walk up the escalator to the street (Stevens Way), turn left and walk a short distance to the HUB. Fieldtrip permission forms are required to attend. Find and return forms in the front office. Handicapped parking is available in Lot N22. Please stop at the gate to secure a Handicapped UW parking permit. 

Graduation: Thursday, June 13th 8:00pm at Memorial Stadium

Graduation is free and open for any guests of your Roosevelt High School graduate – no tickets needed.

Details for graduates:

  • All graduates are required to attend the graduation rehearsal on June 11th in the Roosevelt main gym from 10 – 11 am to fully go over graduation details.
  • On graduation day, graduates need to arrive to Memorial Stadium at Seattle Center between 7:00 and 7:15.​
    • Graduates should be dropped off by the lower NE entrance to the stadium where they will enter.
  • Graduates should arrive in their cap, gown, and sash. There is no place to store personal belongings – anything the graduate needs during the ceremony will need to fit inside their pocket.

Graduation Instruction for Students

Details for guests:

  • Guests will enter the stadium at either the upper SE or NE stadium entrance. There is wheelchair accessibility on both sides of the stadium.​
  • Guest entry will begin approximately 45 minutes before the start of the graduation ceremony at 7:15 pm.​

Parking

  • Memorial Stadium parking lot has limited parking, only use this lot if you have a handicap guest.​
    • Guests in wheelchairs can be dropped off in the memorial stadium parking lot.​
  • Gates Foundation parking lot directly east of stadium​.
  • Mercer Street Garage one block north of stadium.​
  • Various other pay lots or street parking is located around the stadium​.
    • All parking is fee based, with different rates based on the type and location of the parking space.

Following Graduation

  • Students exit out the NW gate and follow the roadway up to the International Fountain area, where they will reconnect with family, or continue back to the Memorial Stadium parking area to reconnect. ​
  • Make a plan with your graduate so you know where to meet them in advance.

Graduation Photos:

Your graduate’s picture will be taken as they receive their diploma and as they go down the ramp at graduation. All the photos, along with the class group will be uploaded to view and order. Go to https://rowlandstudio.gotphoto.com/ and use the graduate’s student ID number to access them. It will take about a week to get them all edited, matched up, and uploaded. 

Spree: Thursday, June 13th

What is Senior Spree? 
It is the last Senior event…an ALL-NIGHT graduation party produced and chaperoned by Roosevelt’s parents and hosted by Grad Nights! This is a safe way for our Seniors to gather and celebrate their graduation. This has been a long-time tradition for Roosevelt Seniors. for Senior Spree!

Important Information: 

  • Mid-Year transcripts for colleges: Mid-Year Transcripts will be available in the SPS system on or about February 16th.  RHS Counselors will upload them into the Common App when available. If  your Non-Common App Colleges need Mid-Year Transcripts please request these via your Naviance account.
  • Diploma Name Change: Please email mgamble@seattleschools.org if you and your student wish to have a name printed on the diploma that is different from the name listed in The Source. 
  • Join the Class of 2024 Facebook: Please join the Roosevelt High School (Seattle) Class of 2024 Facebook group to learn about volunteer opportunities and to stay informed about senior class events. We will be promoting some upcoming fundraising opportunities to support the Senior Class Spree event. Email Mary Catherine Schmitt at marycschmitt@hotmail.com if you have any questions or are not active on Facebook. 
  • Donations: Families of the Class of 2024 can donate now to support the upcoming Senior events, such as Prom, Senior Spree, and Graduation, go to the PTSA Class of 2024 Donation site. All donations will go to the PTSA Class of 2024 fund. 
  • Families of the class of 2024 can sign up to volunteer at Prom, Spree, and Graduation. Go to the PTSA Class of 2024 volunteer site to sign up
  • Information about Senior events is updated on the Roosevelt High School Senior Page and the PTSA Senior Page. Check these sites regularly for updates.
