District Summary
Seattle Public Schools provides high quality rigorous coursework to the entire Seattle area. Seattle School serves approximately 51,868 students. With 18 high schools, 12 middle schools, 11 K-8 schools, and 63 elementary schools utilizing the K-5, K-8, 6-8, 9-12 grade level configuration. The student body is diverse and is made up of 44.1% White, 14.8% Black, 12.2% Asian, 15.3% Hispanic, 12.6% Multiracial and .4% Native American.
School Summary
Roosevelt High School opened in 1922 as a comprehensive four-year public school, enrolling 1,500 students in grades 9-12 during the academic year 2025-26. The school is made up of 62.6% White, 14.3% Multiracial, 7.5% Asian, 8.5% Hispanic, and 5.7% Black, 14.3% of the students are on Free/Reduced Lunch, 11.5% receive Special Education services and 10.6% have a 504 plan. Our senior class has a total of 371.
Academic Program
- All students complete 60 hours of community service requirement before graduating.
- Dual Enrollment (Running Start) courses are available to all students in their junior or senior year. 1.8% of students are participating in full-time Running start and 5% are concurrently enrolled (Running Start and Roosevelt courses).
