    Dear Parents and Families,

The Strenuous Life, our beloved Yearbook, has truly lived up to its name in recent months. Ole’ Teddy Roosevelt stated that overcoming the toil and strife of life makes one triumphant.  While I agree, I don’t think the man had the foresight to predict the time we are currently living in. A lot of things are being done differently this year because, well, they must be.

We need student support to fill the book. Usually the yearbook students are sent out to activities, classes, and events throughout the school to document and photograph for the book, however those things are not happening in a traditional sense. Instead, we are asking for your students to visit the yearbook website at to check on the possible spreads and polls that they themselves can be a direct part of. There are other ideas that we can put into the book, yes, but those ideas are not necessarily representative of the school.

Things are different for school photos this year too. Usually we have the amazing people at Rowland Studio come in to take photos at the beginning of the year (and several times later for make-ups), and to print ID cards as well. Since that didn’t happen we are asking that you visit to schedule a senior portrait. Portraits are $25.00 which includes the sitting fee, ID card, and proofs. PLEASE try your best to go to the studio for photos. Appointments are made so that the area can be cleaned and prepped between students. Drapes and tuxes are provided (and cleaned) but if you do not feel comfortable using the provided outfits your student may wear their own solid black top. PLEASE DO NOT get another formal senior portrait taken and expect us to add it to the book, as it is not as easy as it sounds.

As for underclassmen, their photos can be scheduled here: Rowland Studio is not charging for these photos, but a $5.00 fee is charged through schoolpay if you wish to purchase and ID card. NOTE: Underclassmen photos may not appear in the yearbook unless we can get a significant amount of the roughly 1600 students to show for the photos.

Please have your photo taken before March 15!

Moving to book sales – we are not currently selling books. The prices and numbers will be significantly different this year, and we need to gage how much to charge and how many to order based on what we actually get put into the book. We will know soon, so stay tuned.
