    • Technology: Students need a laptop to engage in remote learning. Students can use their own laptop if they have one, but we highly recommend checking out an SPS machine for consistency. It will also more quickly log you in to Office 365 applications since district machines are already on the network. Most of our returning students have a laptop that was issued to them last Spring. That will be the machine you will continue to use. New students and students who did not take a machine last Spring can still get one this week. If you have a laptop from middle school, you need to upgrade it to the more robust high school version. Please bring your middle school laptop in to swap it out. If you were not able to get a laptop during the previous check out days, please email Asst. Secretary Spencer Kennedy to set up a time to check one out at:  stkennedy@seattleschools.org
    • Here is a link for important tech support details compiled by our wonderful school librarian, Deb Gallaher, that can likely help with log in issues and tech support.

    • Communication: At this time there are several main ways that Roosevelt HS communicates with our families. The first is through our school website - please bookmark https://roosevelths.seattleschools.org - our daily bulletin is posted on the front page of the website as well as other relevant updates - The RHS PTSA has a very robust weekly electronic newsletter. You need to opt in to the PTSA E-news as it is managed separate from our school mailing lists. To register to receive the "E-news" please click on this link. And finally, the school sends emails to families using the email program School Messenger for notifications like this one. These emails go to the parent/guardian email addresses listed on the data form that we have for each student. From time to time families communicate to the school that they are no longer receiving messages. It may be that you have inadvertently changed communication preferences. This is all managed in the database centrally and we cannot simply add you back on a list. Directions for confirming your communication preferences with School Messenger can be found here. Also, Roosevelt also has many individual clubs and classes that maintain social media accounts on Instagram. Our main school page is @roosevelt.roughriders1922 and from there, many of our individual clubs and groups are connected.
