About ASR

The students of Roosevelt High School are governed by four ASR Officers and four Class Councils comprised of four elected student from each grade level. There are also multiple appointed ASR members. Students in ASB plan, organize, and participate in such activities as Roughrider Day, Prom, Homecoming, spirit weeks, assemblies, grade-level competitions, Random Acts of Kindness Everyday (RAKE), lunchtime activities, fundraisers, and other school-wide activities throughout the year. The Associated Students of Roosevelt work to promote leadership, initiative and change through the student body. ASR is a year long class at Roosevelt High School run by Roosevelt’s Activities Director and is located in room 109. If you are interested in being a leader at Roosevelt High School, consider running for an office or applying to be appointed to the class.

Student Senate

Every month, our ambitious secretary leads a Student Senate meeting in the commons. A class representative from each 2nd period class attends these meetings and relays the information that they learn back to their homeroom (2nd period) class. The topics of these meetings are based on current/future issues or projects that the Associated Students of Roosevelt are/will be working on. We are constantly looking for feedback at these meetings and love hearing what the class representatives have to say. One member from each class council also attends the Senate meetings to talk about what their council is working on during that time.
