New Students for 2017-2018

Welcome to Roosevelt High School!

New 9th Graders:

If you are assigned to Roosevelt, you will receive a packet of registration materials in the mail in mid-April. The course request form included in that packet will need to be completed in order to choose classes for 9th grade.

Counselors at the public middle schools will provide guidance to 8th grade students regarding completing the paperwork. Then a Roosevelt counselor will come to the school to collect the forms and answer questions in late April or early May. If you attend a private middle school, counselors do visit many of them - so check with your school.

Hamilton & Jane Addams - RHS counselors will be there April 21st
Eckstein - RHS counselors will be there May 2nd

NEW this year!! On Thursday, April 20th at 7 pm all incoming 9th graders and their families are invited to the gym for a presentation about Roosevelt, the 24 credit graduation requirement, high school success, etc. There will be some opportunity for general questions.

New 10th, 11th & 12th Graders:

Once you are officially assigned to Roosevelt, a packet of registration materials will be mailed to you.  They are also available below.

The offices are closed for July and the first two weeks of August.  After August 14th,
the Registrar and Counseling Secretary may be able to assist you.  Please contact the counseling office at 206-252-4827 at that time.

New 10th, 11th and 12th grade students who enroll over the summer will need to meet with their counselor to go over credits and create a schedule in late August.  Call 206--252-4827 to set up a time.  Please be sure to bring a transcript from previous schools if at all possible.

If your family’s plans change during the summer and you will NOT be attending Roosevelt, please let us know.  Go to www.seattleschools.org/admissions/registration and click on the “Not Attending Next Year” link. (This link will be live after 4/17/17.)  Please follow the instructions to remove your student’s enrollment. In addition, feel free to send an email to our registrar: dtmiller@seattleschools.org.  Note: dropping enrollment through the District website is required.
