The Building Leadership Team is grounded in the belief that collaborative site-based decision-making structures are key to accelerating student academic achievement. The committee consists of representation from school stakeholders: six Certified Staff Members, one Classified staff member, one Paraprofessional, one Custodial (Local 509), two Parents/Community representatives, one ASR representative, and one Building Principal.
The BLT committee meets weekly to discuss building-wide issues including school-wide events, attendance, student activities and school climate. The BLT is also responsible for providing leadership and direction for professional development, the school budget and the school improvement (transformation) plan.
Meetings are held on most Mondays from 2:30 to 3:30 in Room 225 at Roosevelt High School during the school year. Meeting dates may be adjusted to accommodate school holidays and vacation periods. BLT meetings are open to the public. Membership is not required to attend and participate in meetings. Everyone is invited.
Students, staff, parents and community members are encouraged to attend meetings and join the BLT. Please contact the BLT Chairperson if you have any questions about attending meetings or joining the BLT.
